H.C Andersen in a Queer Time - Jens Galschiøt

It's no secret that I like art that makes people see red, or as in this case pink. This time it's Danish artist Jens Galschiøt that's under fire because of the statue he made for the Pink Cup golf tournament in Odense, Denmark. The Pink Cup is a tournament that draws attention to breast cancer and I personally think that Mr Andersen's pink breasts does that brilliantly. However, there are those who don't like the nudity as well as those who think that Mr Andersen looks bisexual (sic).

The issue of breast cancer is something that's close to Jens Galschiøt's heart since his mother died from breast cancer, and he's donate the statue for free to the cause.

When asked what H.C Andersen would have acted today Jens Galschiøt replies:
"It's hard to say if Andersen was gay, but he was very feminine, and how he would have acted today is a fun and interesting question to ask.
